Should I build backlinks to inner pages?

Generally, inner pages don’t provide any value unless they’re part of a funnel. So it’s a good idea to build out your site’s content on them so they’ll be relevant, but you’ll lose the SEO benefits.

If you have a lot of inner pages, there’s a good chance you may have a lot of internal linking opportunities. But that won’t help you improve your site’s rankings.

The best approach is to build out your site’s content on its homepage, and the rest should be on inbound links.

If you have many inner pages, find out how you can turn those into valuable inbound links, or you can use our SEO competitor analysis tool to find out if your competitors are doing this.

I can’t find any internal link opportunities in the SERP for this particular search term, so I think it’s a good idea to focus on the homepage for now.

I also think it’s a good idea to focus on your homepage’s content so that it’ll be relevant and provide value, but it won’t give you much SEO benefit.

When I click on the link to the homepage, I’m taken to a page with a blog post titled “The Beginner’s Guide to SEO”. It also has a lot of inbound links:

With this in mind, I think it’s best to make a list of all your homepage pages and see if there’s a way to turn them into inbound links.

If you have a lot of pages that don’t provide any value, you may need to remove them from your site’s navigation.

But make sure you don’t go too down the route of deleting all your inner pages!

If you do this, you’ll lose all the SEO value you’ve built up by linking to your homepage content.

The important thing is to have an SEO-friendly site that’s up to date, so don’t just remove the pages you don’t want anymore.

You should add the pages you want to have on your site’s navigation links. But don’t be tempted to add all of your inner pages to your navigation links unless you have a lot of them!

Here’s a good example of a site with lots of inner pages, and a navigation menu with only the homepage visible:

This is a good example of a site with many inner pages. But it’s missing some of the homepage content. This makes it harder to navigate, and a lot of people who are curious about SEO will leave the site pretty quickly.

So I think it’s a good idea to create a navigation menu that contains only the homepage.

4. Add internal links to relevant pages

If you do have a lot of inner pages, it’s worth adding internal links to some of them.

This will improve the usability of your website, and this will also help improve the website’s SEO.

But you don’t have a lot of choice. If you don’t want to remove any content from your site, you’ll have to add internal links to all your inner pages.

But you can make it easier for people to navigate your site with some internal links to relevant pages on your site, so it’s worth it.

If you don’t have any internal links to inner pages, or if you only have internal links to your homepage, then your site is probably missing out on a lot of valuable inbound links.

But if you do have internal links to relevant pages, it’s a good idea to add them.

5. Get people to link to you

Once you’ve added internal links to relevant pages, you can ask your visitors to link to your pages.

You can do this using our SEO competitor analysis tool.

You can search for your target keywords and find out how your competitors are doing in the SERP for those keywords.

If you’re seeing a lot of pages with high anchor text, this is a good sign that someone linked to you.

But you should check out the anchor text of all your internal links, and see if you can find a way to improve your link building.

For example, you can find out which of your pages have a lot of internal link opportunities and add some of them to your navigation links.

If you don’t have a lot of valuable inbound links, you can add your internal links to your homepage content.
