Creating a personal landing page

If you’re new to landing page building, here’s a good resource to get you started.

To build your landing pages, you’ll want to follow the steps below.

1. Create a web page.
2. Find a form template to use.
3. Find a web page builder or design tool.
4. Build.
5. Test.

Step 1: Creating a web page

This step is pretty simple, but I’ll explain everything in case you need to refer back.

When creating your web pages, start with a blank page and write out your headlines. Then start adding content blocks.

1. Find a template that works for you. Most people end up using Google’s Structured Data Formats. The key word here is “works” because you don’t want something that looks unfinished or ugly. You want a form template that looks great.
2. Build your form.
3. Add an eye-catching image.
4. Add a call to action.
5. Make sure the page loads.

A few tips for creating landing pages:

  • Use the same header, footer, and style on all your landing pages.
  • Don’t forget to add your website’s logo.
  • Don’t forget to add contact information for your team.
  • Check your page for SEO. This is an ever-important factor.

Step 2: Finding a form template

There are tons of free landing page builders out there, but they don’t always look the best.

Instead, what I recommend is using a landing page builder that allows you to customize the elements on the page. This will allow you to create something that looks better and is easier to build.

Here are some examples:

  • Dribbble
  • Unbounce
  • Formidable Forms
  • Unbounce Form Builder
  • Wishpond

To find a template, you’ll want to search for one or a few that you think would be useful for your business.

If you have a website, use the top menu to find it. If you don’t have a website, browse through these templates.

Once you find a template that works for you, it’s time to customize it.

You’ll need to click into the page and edit the elements.

I like to use the “Page Builder” toolbar as an entry point.

Once you’re on the page, you’ll see a “Page Builder” icon. Click on it.

On the menu, you’ll see “Page Settings”. Here you can change the page title, add the logo, and select the “Home” or “Landing Page” template.

If you’re using Unbounce, you can go to the page builder menu and click on the “Page Settings” button.

When you’re done, click “Publish” and your landing page will be live.

Step 3: Finding a web page builder or design tool

You can use a web page builder or a design tool, but you’ll want to pick one that allows you to build your landing pages.

If you don’t know what a web page builder is, it’s a tool that helps you design your web pages, like Unbounce.

If you don’t know what a design tool is, it’s a tool that helps you create pages, like Google Designer.

Once you’ve found one that works for you, you can start building your landing pages.

Step 4: Building your landing pages

To build your landing pages, you’ll need to follow the steps below.

1. Create your HTML.
2. Find a form template.
3. Find a web page builder.
4. Add your content.
5. Add your footer.
6. Add your call to action.
7. Preview your page.

Step 1: Creating your HTML

To create your HTML, you’ll need to open a text editor and start writing the HTML code.

For this tutorial, I like to use Microsoft Word.

You’ll want to add the “Head” section to your page. This will go before any other code.

I want to start by adding some tags to help identify my content.

I like to use the “HTML tag” to indicate where I want my content to appear.

I also like to add the “script tag” to indicate that I want my content to appear in a particular place on the page.

The code looks like this:
